COTTON AND ANCESTORS
The cotton of the south is in her DNA. She is a Black woman. She is spirit. She is me. She is my spirit self. She is where I come from and she is where I am going. She is surrounded by ancestors. She is protested on all sides because she is on a mission.
She lost her tears because she cried for so many sons. Her ancestors help her reclaim her tears to lubricate her soul. As they rain down on her and puddle at her feet, she is refreshed. She knows she can carry on.
All of her prayers are stored in a special holding place. They are gathered and refined by the ancestors before presenting them to creator. When the prayers are answered, the ancestors collect the answers and present them to her.
